   How to Play Mega Millions
step 1
Select 5 out of 75 numbers from the white balls (these can be drawn in any order to win). Then select 1 out of 15 numbers for the Mega Ball.
step 2
You may use a playslip to select your numbers or ask for an EASY PICK from the clerk and the computer will select the numbers for you. If you make a mistake on the playslip, mark the VOID box and select your numbers on the next panel.
step 3
Each play is $1 and each panel is a separate play. Add Megaplier for an extra $1 per play for your chance to multiply your winnings up to 5 times.
step 4
Play more than one drawing by marking the MULTIDRAW box on the playslip for 2, 3, 4, 5 or up to 10 consecutive drawings or just ask the clerk for a MULTIDRAW.
step 5
Tickets may be purchased until 8:59 p.m. the evening of the drawing. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:00 p.m.
step 5
Jackpots start at $15 million.
step 5
All tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the winning draw date. When a player wins a jackpot they have 60 days from the date of their claim to choose to receive a lump-sum payment or a 30 year annuity.

The Megaplier, a multiplier option which players can purchase for an additional $1 to increase their non-jackpot prizes, will be expanded to include a five factor. That means a Mega Millions ticket can now win up to $5 million without matching all six numbers. The Megaplier multiplier is selected at random during every drawing.
