The winning Powerball ticket successfully matched five of five white balls, which is a $1 million prize. By adding the Power Play option, the winning ticket doubled the prize to $2 million. After taxes, The Alaskan Sourdough Trust will receive $1,420,000.
The May 16th winning ticket was purchased at a convenience store located at 1100 N. Santa Fe in Edmond and operated by long-time lottery partner, Murphy USA.
Oklahoma has had four Powerball jackpot winners and the prize payment to The Alaskan Sourdough Trust is the 19th prize of $1 million
or more paid to Oklahoma winners. The Oklahoma Lottery is still looking for the 20th millionaire who won the $1 million prize drawn
on August 8th.
