Lottery Seeks State’s Newest Millionaire
$2 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Newalla
Oklahoma City (Aug. 12, 2013)— The Oklahoma Lottery is seeking the newest millionaire in the state! Another $2 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Oklahoma for last Saturday night’s drawing. This is the third millionaire in the last two weeks for the state.
The winning ticket was purchased at Stella Groceries located at 18001 SE 149th St. in Newalla.
The winning numbers for the drawing are 4, 12, 14, 37 and 58. The Powerball number is 13.
The winner successfully matched five of five white balls, which is a $1 million prize and added the Power Play option for an extra dollar to increase their prize to $2 million.
Since its launch, the Oklahoma Lottery has had four Powerball jackpot winners and this prize is the 32nd prize of $1 million or more.
Winners have 180 days from the day of the drawing to claim their prize at the Oklahoma Lottery Headquarters, located at 3817 N. Santa Fe in Oklahoma City.
$2 Million Prize Claimed Friday
The $2 million winning Powerball ticket from the Aug. 7th drawing was claimed at Lottery headquarters last Friday by Joy McBride and Judy Leyrer of Oklahoma City.
Although McBride purchased the winning ticket, they both play regularly and have an agreement to share any winnings.
The friends plan on giving a portion of the winnings to their church and sharing with family. They also recently booked a trip to Hawaii.
The winner of the $2 million Powerball ticket from the July 31st drawing has yet to come forward. The winning ticket was purchased at D & W Quick Stop, located at 930 W. Main in Ada.
