OKLAHOMA CITY (Dec. 26, 2014) - One lucky Lottery player woke up Christmas morning a millionaire! The Oklahoma Lottery is seeking the owner of a $2 million Powerball winning ticket from the December 24th, Christmas Eve drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at Cigarette Warehouse located at 246 E. Hwy 152 in Mustang.
The winning numbers for the drawing were 11, 12, 46, 47 and 50. The Powerball number was 22.
This is the Oklahoma Lottery's 2nd $2 million Powerball winner in less than 7 days.
The winner successfully matched five of five white balls winning $1 million but because they added the Powerplay feature for an additional $1 the prize doubled to $2 million.
This is the 43rd time a winner in Oklahoma has won a prize of $1 million dollars or more. Four of those winners have been lucky enough to hit the Powerball jackpot since the Oklahoma Lottery's launch.
Winners have 180 days from the day of the drawing to claim their prize at the Oklahoma Lottery Headquarters, located at 3817 N. Santa Fe in Oklahoma City.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $640 million has been contributed to education since November 2005 with funds appropriated by the State Legislature to pay debt service on a higher education capital bond issue; to pay support salaries for public schools and for equipment, scholarships and other purposes at our career and technology education institutions.
