OKLAHOMA CITY (Apr. 3, 2015) - The $5 million winning Mega Millions ticket from the March 17th drawing was claimed at Lottery headquarters by JMJ Trust.
The winner successfully matched five of five white balls, which is a $1 million prize. They added the Megaplier option for an extra dollar, which increased the prize to $5 million. After taxes, the trust will receive a total of $3,550,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Homeland, located at 7001 NW 122nd St in Oklahoma City.
Including this prize paid to JMJ Trust, the Oklahoma Lottery has awarded 45 prizes of $1 million or more since its launch.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $652 million has been contributed to education since November 2005 with funds appropriated by the State Legislature to pay debt service on a higher education capital bond issue; to pay support salaries for public schools and for equipment, scholarships and other purposes at our career and technology education institutions.
