Local Store Sells $50,000 Winning Powerball Ticket
Man wins with 2nd largest Powerball Drawing

OKLAHOMA CITY (August 29, 2017) - A $50,000 winning Powerball ticket from the historic August 23rd drawing was claimed at Lottery headquarters by Chris B. of Duncan.

The winner successfully matched four white balls and the Powerball, which is a $50,000 prize. After taxes, the winner received a total of $35,500.

The winning ticket was purchased at Chisholm Corner #8 located at 1915 W Beech Ave. in Duncan, OK.

At $758 million, last Wednesday’s jackpot was the second highest jackpot in Powerball’s 25-year history. The highest Powerball jackpot amount ever awarded was in January of 2016 at $1.58 billion.

Including the ticket sold at Chisholm Corner, three $50,000 Powerball winning tickets were sold in the state of Oklahoma for the August 23rd drawing.
