OKLAHOMA FARMER WINS 2010 V6 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE
Third Winner of Oklahoma Lottery Mustang Money Promotion
Oklahoma City (August 13, 2009) – James Borden of Vici spends his days farming and ranching, but you won’t always find him out on the tractor. A car enthusiast for years, James enjoys working on Corvettes, Mustangs and other sports cars. His love for fast cars spurred his interest in the Oklahoma Lottery Mustang Money promotion and his efforts paid off. James is the third winner of a 2010 V6 Mustang Convertible.
When he received the call from the Oklahoma Lottery, he was in disbelief.
“I thought it was a joke,” Borden said, who immediately called his wife, JoAnn.
“I was shopping in Oklahoma City and he usually never calls me unless there’s something wrong,” she said. “When he told me about winning, I couldn’t believe it.”
Once the shock wore off, the Borden’s were thrilled—especially JoAnn. Her husband had already said he would give the car to her.
“When I get the car, the first thing I’ll do is give the keys to my wife,” James said. “She’s never had a new car before so she’s excited.”
But JoAnn’s not the only one excited, the couple’s grandchildren, including three teenagers, are looking forward to a ride or test drive with grandma.
And when asked if he’ll keep playing the Lottery, James answers an enthusiastic “Yes!”
“I’m going to win the big one someday—either Powerball or Hot Lotto. I just know it.”
James purchased his winning entry ticket from Sweet’s Short Stop, 220 E. Broadway, in Vici.
The Oklahoma Lottery will be awarding a fourth and final 2010 V6 Mustang Convertible through the Mustang Money promotion. Entries are currently being accepted and the drawing date is not yet determined. See the Oklahoma Lottery website for more details.
