Oklahoma Lottery Logo Benefits Oklahoma Education
Press Release

Enid resident, Steve Heras, won $10,000 on August 11 playing Powerball.  Heras plays the Lottery’s Scratcher games regularly, but decided to buy a Powerball ticket because the jackpot rose to more than $100 million.
“The jackpot was getting so high, I had to try.  It was really on a whim,” Heras said.  “I have won on Scratchers quite a bit, but this is my first time to win really big money.”
Heras hasn’t decided what he will do with the money yet, but plans to use some to work on his truck.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sooner Stop, located at 1907 W. Randolph Ave. in Enid, Oklahoma.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education.  More than $136 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
