OKLAHOMA CITY RESIDENTS WIN ON LOTTERY GAME SHOW
OKLAHOMA CITY (August 28, 2008) – Kim Andersen and Dee Wray, both of Oklahoma City, recently won cash as contestants on The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show, which aired on August 23. Andersen won $800 and purchased her winning entry ticket at D&C Food Mart at 1123 N. May Avenue in Oklahoma City. Wray won $900 and purchased her winning entry ticket at Flash Mart at 5850 NW 39th Expressway in Oklahoma City.
Each 30-minute episode of The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show features seven contestants (six new contestants and one returning champion) in a series of number-themed games. All players are guaranteed $500, and may have a chance to win more than $50,000 in cash and prizes in each show.
All contestants receive “star” treatment, including accommodations at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, dinner for the contestant and a guest, and breakfast in the Aria Grill at the hotel.
The Game Show airs Saturdays at 6 p.m. on KOCB Channel 34 in Oklahoma City. The show is rebroadcast in Tulsa on Cox Channel 3 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. In Oklahoma City, the show re-airs on Cox Channel 7 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $215 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
