LEXINGTON MAN WINS $30K PLAYING HOT LOTTO WITH SIZZLER
Wayne Morrill of Lexington, Okla. has won $30,000 playing Hot Lotto with Sizzler. He purchased his winning ticket at Hutch’s #109 at 2000 S. Main Street in Elk City.
A regular Lottery player, Morrill was passing through Elk City on business and decided to pick up a ticket. He chooses his numbers through Easy Pick.
“At first, I thought I had won a few hundred dollars, but when I went to the retailer, he asked me to complete a claim form and directed me to Lottery headquarters,” said Morrill. “My wife and I checked the Internet and that’s when I discovered I had won $30,000. We were really excited.”
Morrill added that he plays the Lottery because it supports Oklahoma’s education system.
“It’s why we play since we have three grandkids!”
Morrill and his wife plan to use their winnings toward a down payment on a new house and to purchase school supplies for their grandchildren.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $209 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important education purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
