CHELSEA RESIDENTS WIN $40,000 PLAYING POWERBALL WITH POWER PLAY
Couple Plans Memorable Trip and Home Improvements
Oklahoma City (August 5, 2009) – Larry and Deborah Woods of Chelsea are making exciting plans since winning $40,000 playing Powerball with Power Play. By purchasing Power Play for an extra $1, the couple turned their $10,000 win into $40K.
“I want to take Larry back to Seattle because that’s where he landed on his return from the Vietnam War. He hasn’t been there since,” Deborah said.
The Woods purchased their winning ticket at Jiffy Mart, 720 Walnut Street, in Chelsea and received their winning numbers through Quick Pick.
“I checked the numbers online on Sunday and my eyeballs almost popped out!” Larry said. “I kept checking the numbers and even had to go over to my neighbors and have them check the ticket.”
The couple plays the Lottery knowing a part of the proceeds benefit Oklahoma education.
“I’m glad it’s supporting education,” Larry said.
Along with a vacation, Larry and Deborah would like to add a covered deck off their patio as well as tuck a portion away toward retirement.
