Tulsa Resident Wins Playing Winter Green Scratcher
Last Minute Purchase on Birthday Becomes Surprise Present
Oklahoma City (Dec. 10, 2008) – Gregory Simpson Jr. of Tulsa won $7,000 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s Winter Green Scratcher. He purchased his ticket at the last minute while stopping at Quick Trip, 3108 S. 129 E. Ave., in Tulsa.
“Friday, Dec. 5 was my birthday and my wife, children and I were waiting for my wife’s parents to go out to eat,” he says. “I decided to buy one Scratcher and chose the Winter Green Scratcher.”
Simpson added, “This will allow us to celebrate the holidays.”
He plays the Lottery knowing it helps support Oklahoma’s education.

Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $236 million has been contributed to education since November 2005 with funds directed to the higher education capital bond issue and funds directed to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund (OELTF).
