LAWTON RESIDENTS WIN BIG
Lawton Men Win $10,000 and $7,000
Two Lawton residents recently won $10,000 and $7,000 from the Oklahoma Lottery. Dennis Carstensen claimed a $10,000 winning Powerball ticket and Richard Tissychy won $7,000 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s Cash Avalanche Scratcher.
Carstensen purchased his winning ticket at the EZ Go #36 located at 1 Northwest 67th Street in Lawton. Tissychy purchased his ticket at Lee Boulevard Shopping Center, located at 1315 Southwest Lee Boulevard also in Lawton.
Cartenson has been playing the Lottery since its launch. He plans on paying off bills with his winnings.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $169 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
