Tracy Hamlett of Dill City claimed a $25,000 Oklahoma Cash 5 prize from the February 15 drawing. Hamlett won the
taxes-paid top prize by matching all five numbers.

Hamlett purchased her winning ticket at the Kwik-n-Eze in Cordell. She said that she picks her own numbers using a combination of her, her husbands and her son’s birth dates. She plays these numbers every drawing for Oklahoma Cash 5 and Powerball. She has won two other $500 prizes playing the same numbers in Oklahoma Cash 5.

When asked what she planned on doing with her winnings, Hamlett said she plans on paying off her car and purchasing a new roof for her house.

Since the Oklahoma Lottery launched, more than $145 million in prizes has been won playing Oklahoma Lottery games, said Jim Scroggins, Oklahoma Lottery Commission Executive Director.

Proceeds from Oklahoma Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for education purposes and programs at all levels of education, Pre-K to higher education. So far more than $101 million has been transferred to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund.
