DEADLINE LOOMS FOR UNCLAIMED POWERBALL PRIZE
$10,000 Winning Ticket Purchased In Jay

The Oklahoma Lottery is looking for the owner of an unclaimed winning ticket worth $10,000 from the Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, Powerball drawing.  The deadline to claim the prize is Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008.
 
The ticket was purchased at S&S Quick Stop, located at 137 N. Main St. in Jay, Oklahoma.
 
The numbers drawn were 02, 08, 23, 29, 35 and the Powerball number was 19.  The Power Play multiplier was 3.
 
Winners have 180 days from the day of the drawing to claim their prize at the Oklahoma Lottery Headquarters, located at 3817 N. Santa Fe in Oklahoma City.
 
In Oklahoma, the first $500,000 of unclaimed prize monies will be transferred to the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for the treatment of compulsive gambling disorder and educational programs related to such disorder. All other unclaimed prizes will be added back to the overall prize pool to be awarded for future prizes or special prize promotions.
 
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education.  More than $169 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
 
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
