Press Release

Russell and Kelly Shelby, residents of Mounds, Oklahoma, stepped forward today to claim their $800,016 Powerball prize at Lottery Headquarters in Oklahoma City.
They plan to buy a new truck with the money, and invest for their retirement.
The Shelbys missed the Powerball number, and a $62.5 million jackpot, by only one number.  The Powerball number that was drawn was 10, and their Powerball number was 9.  On a separate play, however, they had 9 for the Powerball.
“We plan to keep on playing,” Kelly Shelby said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Tiger’s Country Store, located at 3014 E. 201st St. S. in Mounds, a town of approximately 1,100 residents in northeastern Oklahoma.
The Shelbys have played the Lottery regularly for about 10 years – in other states before the Lottery launched in Oklahoma – and most frequently purchase their tickets at Tiger’s.
The $10,000 winners from Warr Acres and Goldsby, Oklahoma, have not yet claimed their prizes.
