PONCA CITY MAN WINS TOP PRIZE PLAYING WINTER GREEN SCRATCHER
Oklahoma City (Jan. 13, 2009) – Russ Didlake of Ponca City played the Oklahoma Lottery’s Winter Green Scratcher and won its top prize of $7,000. He purchased his winning ticket from Stop N Go at 501 W. Highland in Ponca City.
Once he realized he won, Didlake didn’t waste any time.
“I came straight to the Lottery to cash the ticket,” he says. “And the money’s going in the bank.”
Didlake added that he’s “110 percent for supporting education,” knowing that the Lottery proceeds help support Oklahoma’s education.

Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $236 million has been contributed to education since November 2005 with funds directed to the higher education capital bond issue and funds directed to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund (OELTF). The Oklahoma Legislature appropriates the OELTF.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important education purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
