DURANT RESIDENT WINS $10,000 PLAYING POWERBALL

OKLAHOMA CITY (June 25, 2008) – Lynn Porter of Durant won $10,000 on June 21 playing Powerball.  
 
Porter purchased his winning ticket at Kiersey Corner at Highway 70 West and Silo Road in Durant. His lucky numbers were a random selection.  
 
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $193 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
 
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important education purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
