CHECOTAH RESIDENT WINS $30K PLAYING BIG MONEY
OKLAHOMA CITY (March 24, 2008) – Kim Duncan, a resident of Checotah, Oklahoma, won $30,000 playing theOklahoma Lottery’s Big Money Scratcher.
She plans to purchase a horse with some of the winnings, and pay bills with the rest.
Duncan has played the Lottery occasionally since it launched in Oklahoma. She purchased the winning ticket at Fountain Head Shell, a convenience store located at Hwy 150 and I-40 in Checotah.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $175 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development
programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
