OKLAHOMA CITY (March 26, 2008) – Diane Curry, a resident of Depew, Oklahoma, won $10,000 on March 22 playing Powerball.

The winning ticket was purchased at Maveric Mini Mart, located at 1101 E. Broadway in Drumright, Oklahoma.

Curry has played the Lottery since it launched in Oklahoma. She plans to take a vacation and put the rest in savings.

Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $175 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.

Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
