HOT LOTTO JACKPOT TICKET SOLD IN OKLAHOMA CITY
OKLAHOMA CITY (March 28, 2008) – Hot Lotto delivered its first Oklahoma jackpot winner with a ticket worth $3.8 million.
The winning ticket was purchased at Q-Max, 2921 S. Agnew.
The winning numbers from Wednesday’s draw were 5-8-11-31-39, and the Hot Ball number was 5.
The annuity value of the winning ticket is $3.8 million, less taxes, to be paid over a twenty-four (24) year period. The cash value of the ticket is $2,462,809.54 less federal taxes of $615,702.39 and state taxes of $98,512.38, for a net cash value of $1,748,594.77.
The winning ticket must be claimed within 180 days of the March 26 drawing and has to be claimed at Oklahoma Lottery Headquarters, 3817 N. Santa Fe, in Oklahoma City.
Hot Lotto launched in Oklahoma on Jan. 3. It is played like Powerball, and features jackpots starting at $1 million. There are nine ways to win, and tickets cost $1. Besides the jackpot prizes, players can win one of eight other cash prizes, ranging from $2 to $10,000. By adding the Sizzler feature for an extra $1, players can automatically triple their prize, excluding the jackpot. The overall odds of winning any Hot Lotto prize are better than 1 in 16.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $175 million has been contributed to education since sales began in October 2005.
