GRANITE RESIDENT WINS $17,000 PLAYING RUBY RED 7s SCRATCHER
Oklahoma City (March 27, 2009) – The number 7 is David Green’s lucky number. A Granite resident, Green won $17,000 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s Ruby Red 7s Scratcher. He has previously won $400 playing the Royal 7s Scratcher.
Green bought his winning ticket from Domino Express at 302 East 1st in Granite.
“I almost passed out when I realized I had won,” he said. “I had been cooking for the family but burnt dinner so I went down to the store to get a pop. I purchased a ticket and won a free ticket that I redeemed for the winning ticket.”
Green said he called his wife to come and get him because he was so excited. His wife, Amanda, admits, “He is very lucky.”
The Greens plan to use their winnings toward completing the remodeling of their new home. With this extra cash, they’ll be able to move in.
“I think it’s good that the Lottery helps support Oklahoma education,” said Green. “It makes me feel good about spending my money.”
