OKLAHOMAN WINS HOT LOTTO CASH BLASTJames Walker Wins $100,000 Playing Hot Lotto Cash Blast
Local Nurse Takes Home $100,000

Oklahoma City (March 6, 2009) – James Walker of Oklahoma City is the lucky winner of $100,000—the top prize of the Hot Lotto Cash Blast promotion hosted by the Oklahoma Lottery. His ticket was chosen from a pool of seven participating states and over 82,000 entries.

“I thought it was a joke at first because I had almost forgotten about the promotion,” said Walker. “I had trouble driving when I got the phone call!”

The Hot Lotto Cash Blast promotion gave players the opportunity to enter non-winning Hot Lotto with Sizzler tickets into a drawing for a chance to win cash prizes. Walker purchased his ticket at the Portland Express Market, 3701 N. Portland Ave., in Oklahoma City.

“I still can’t believe I won,” said Walker, a Licensed Practical Nurse. He plans to use his winnings toward school to obtain his Registered Nurse license and to take a vacation cruise. For now, he’s going to keep playing.

“This is the biggest prize I’ve ever won,” he said. “I think everyone should play because you never know. Your chances are as good as anyone’s.”

Walker added that he believes it’s a good thing that the Lottery helps support Oklahoma’s education.

“I’m glad it passed here in Oklahoma.”
