SALLISAW WOMAN TURNED $10K INTO $30K
Tripled Her Winnings Playing Powerball with Power Play
Oklahoma City (May 26, 2009) – Sarah Harper of Sallisaw won $30,000 playing Powerball. Fortunately, she purchased Power Play for only an extra dollar and tripled her originally win of $10,000.
“When I realized I had won I called my husband screaming,” Harper said, who purchased her winning ticket at Diamond Express, 712 S. Kerry Blvd, in Sallisaw.
Regular Lottery players, Harper and her husband usually buy five tickets and when they choose numbers, they pick randomly.
“I choose the numbers for two games, he chooses for two games and then we use Easy Pick for the last game,” she said.
For now, the couple plans to first pay bills and then they might splurge on something fun.
“I would encourage others to play,” she said. “Your chances are as good as anyone else’s.”
