WYNONA MAN WINS VEGAS TRIP IN POKER SHOWDOWN
Matthew J. Hurd, a resident of Wynona, Oklahoma, won a trip for two to Las Vegas on Nov. 15 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s $30,000 Poker Showdown Scratcher.
The trip includes a $1,500 travel voucher to Sun and Ski Sports Travel Agency, $250 cash for spending money and $715 for federal and state tax withholdings.
Hurd purchased the winning ticket at Z-Mart, a convenience store located at 502 E. Main St. in Hominy, Oklahoma.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $157 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
