COWETA RESIDENT MAKES GAME SHOW APPEARANCE
Ilene Kraft of Coweta Wins $3,865 Playing the Oklahoma Lottery Game Show

Ilene Kraft, a retired caregiver from Coweta, Oklahoma, won $3,865 as a contestant on the third episode of The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show, which aired Oct. 27.  She went on to the show’s championship round, but lost to Yannah Meeks, a stay-at-home mom from Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Plans for her winnings include sharing with family, paying bills, and the rest will go into savings.

Kraft purchased her winning entry ticket at Quick Trip #33, a convenience store located at 2400 E. Kenosha in Broken Arrow.

Each 30-minute episode of The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show features seven contestants (six new contestants and one returning champion) in a series of number-themed games. All players are guaranteed $500, and may have a chance to win more than $50,000 in cash and prizes in each show.

All contestants receive "star" treatment, including limousine service for travel to and from the show’s taping, accommodations at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, dinner for the contestant and a guest, and breakfast in the Aria Grill at the hotel.

Players can win a chance to be a contestant by playing The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show Scratcher, which is available at all Lottery retail locations.  Contestants are chosen through a random drawing prior to each show’s taping.  All players must be 18 or older.

The Game Show airs Saturdays at 6 p.m. on KOCB Channel 34 in Oklahoma City.  The show is rebroadcast in Tulsa on Cox Channel 3 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.  In Oklahoma City, the show re-airs on Cox Channel 7 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education.  More than $154 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
