PAOLI WOMAN WINS $20K PLAYING NEW MONOPOLY SCRATCHER
OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 13, 2008) – Carol Mooney of Paoli is Oklahoma’s first top prize winner of $20,000 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s new Monopoly Scratcher.
Mooney purchased her winning ticket at the Travel Plaza, 2625 W. Grant, in Pauls Valley. The store is a favorite stop of hers because her daughter works there.
An occasional Lottery player, Mooney was in disbelief when she learned she had won.
“I thought there had to be something wrong with the ticket or that it wasn’t real.”
She now encourages others to play because she says, “if I can win, anyone can win.”
Mooney also was pleased to learn that the proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support Oklahoma’s education with funds directed to the higher education capital bond issue and funds directed to the Oklahoma Education Lottery Trust Fund (OELTF). The Oklahoma Legislature appropriates the OELTF.
How to Play
To play the Monopoly Scratcher, players scratch each dice “ROLL,” then scratch the corresponding Monopoly property, such as Boardwalk. If a player reveals a prize in the corresponding property, the player wins the prize shown—and with nine dice “ROLLS” a player can win up to nine times.
