FIRST TIME LOTTERY PLAYER WINS TOP PRIZE
PLAYING NEW COOL 7s SCRATCHER
Deer Creek Man Wins $1,777
OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 15, 2008) – Matt Slover of Deer Creek is Oklahoma’s first top prize winner of $1,777 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s new Cool 7s Scratcher—and he’s calling it beginner’s luck since he had never before played the Lottery.
“I was in the Tuttle area visiting family when I decided to purchase a Scratcher,” said Slover. “I was shocked when I saw I had won. I kept re-checking the ticket and re-reading the instructions to make sure it was really a winning ticket.”
He purchased his winning ticket from Neighbors Mini Mart, 406 East Main Street in Tuttle and plans to use his surprise cash toward buying appliances for his new home.
Slover said he was aware that Lottery funds support Oklahoma’s education and he gladly encourages others to play.
