HARRAH RESIDENT WINS $30K PLAYING SCRATCHERS
Nancy Gibson, a resident of Harrah, Oklahoma, won $30,000 on Oct. 15 playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s Red Hot 5s Scratcher.
Plans for her winnings include sharing with family, helping her sons, and enjoying it.
“I think Oklahoma is lucky to have the Lottery,” Gibson said. “Everyone can play and it goes to benefit education.”
Gibson purchased her winning ticket at Quality Mart, located at 14803 N.E. 23rd St. in Choctaw. She has played the Lottery regularly since it launched, with consistency as her strategy for winning.
“I’ve been playing Red Hot 5s for a while,” Gibson said. “I figured I’d have better luck sticking with one game.”
She plans to switch to a new game following this win.
There is still one $30,000 top prize remaining in the Red Hot 5s Scratcher game.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $154 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
