SHADY POINT MAN WINS $10,000 TOP PRIZE PLAYING FLAMIN’ 7s
OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 21, 2008) – Andrew Brown of Shady Point won the top prize of $10,000 cash playing the Oklahoma Lottery’s Flamin’ 7s Scratcher. He purchased his winning ticket at E-Z Mart, 271 Highway 59, in Shady Point.
“I felt the need to double check the ticket at the store and was very surprised to have won,” he said. “My wife didn’t believe me.”
Brown started playing the Lottery occasionally about a year ago. Since his wife is a schoolteacher, he appreciates the Lottery’s support of Oklahoma education and encourages others to play.
For now he plans to use the winnings toward a down payment on a new home and then use a little for fun.
