Mega Changes to Mega Millions Begins TODAY!
New Way to Win $1M

Oklahoma City (Sept. 14, 2010)—A Mega Millions game change may mean more Oklahoma millionaires. Beginning today, if you purchase a Mega Millions ticket with the Megaplier and you match the five white balls, you automatically win $1,000,000!

The Match 5 Prize (5+0), previously at $250,000, now is fixed at a minimum of 4X—increasing the prize to $1M for all Match 5 winners who have purchased the Megaplier option, regardless of the number drawn.

Megaplier is a special feature in Mega Millions that allows a winner to multiply the original prize up to 4 times, excluding the Jackpot. A player must choose the Megaplier option when they purchase their Mega Millions ticket. The Megaplier is selected at random during every drawing.

“The multiplier option is an additional $1 per play and now that extra buck can mean a million-dollar win,” said Jim Scroggins, executive director of the Oklahoma Lottery Commission.

Only tickets for tonight’s drawing (September 14, 2010) and future drawings will qualify for the set Megaplier prize.

Mega Millions drawings are twice a week on Tuesday and Friday at 10 p.m.
