Press Release

Lottery Announces Broadcast Changes
Internet and newspaper encouraged for winning numbers

Beginning September 18, Tulsa area Oklahoma Lottery players are encouraged to check for winning Powerball, Oklahoma Cash 5 and Pick 3 numbers online at or in their daily newspaper, because KWBT-WB will no longer be carrying the live drawing broadcasts.

Winning numbers are posted on the Lottery’s website within one hour of a drawing. In addition to the website or checking in newspapers, players can call 1-888-PLAY OLC (7529 652) to hear the winning numbers. And, as always, players can check their tickets at their favorite Lottery retailer.

“With the conversion to the CW network, our current Tulsa station partner is no longer able to carry a live drawing,” said Jim Scroggins, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Lottery Commission. “Because we want it to be as easy as possible for our players to see if they’ve won, we are currently negotiating with other stations to continue to bring the live drawings to our Tulsa players and hope to be able to make an announcement shortly.”

In other lottery news, excitement is building for Saturday night’s Powerball drawing. The jackpot is estimated at $157 million or $73.9 million cash value. “With a jackpot of more than $150 million, we want to remind players to have fun but to not get carried away,” Scroggins said. “Players should remember to play responsibly.”
