OKLAHOMA CITY RESIDENTS WIN ON LOTTERY GAME SHOW

OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 23, 2008) – Jimmy Chen and James Thompson, both of Oklahoma City, won cash prizes as contestants on The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show, which aired on September 20.
 
Chen cashed in with $8,884 and purchased his winning entry ticket at the Quik Break at 3400 S. Harrah Road in Harrah.
 
Thompson walked away with $500 and bought his winning entry ticket at Express Food, 2928 NE 63rd, in Oklahoma City.
 
Each 30-minute episode of The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show features seven contestants (six new contestants and one returning champion) in a series of number-themed games.  All players are guaranteed $500, and may have a chance to win more than $50,000 in cash and prizes in each show.
 
All contestants receive “star” treatment, including accommodations at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, dinner for the contestant and a guest, and breakfast in the Aria Grill at the hotel.  
 
The Game Show airs Saturdays at 6 p.m. on KOCB Channel 34 in Oklahoma City. The show is rebroadcast in Tulsa on Cox Channel 3 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. In Oklahoma City, the show re-airs on Cox Channel 7 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
 
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $220 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
 
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
