POND CREEK WOMAN $200K POWERBALL WINNERPhoto of Richard Kriegel $25,000 Cash 5 Winner

Denise Moore, a resident of Pond Creek, Oklahoma, has stepped forward to claim her $200,000 prize from the Wednesday,
Sept. 26 Powerball drawing.

Moore was only five people in the nation to correctly match all five white balls, missing only the Powerball. The winning numbers from Wednesday’s draw were 25, 27, 31, 44, 54 and the Powerball was 8.  The Power Play multiplier was 2.

“The whole town is in shock,” Moore said.

She plans to pay-off her house, buy a car and pay bills.

Pond Creek is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Medford, Oklahoma, near the Kansas border.

Moore has played the Lottery every draw since it launched in Oklahoma, but this is her first big win.  She purchased the
winning ticket at The Harvest Grill in Pond Creek because they’re the only Lottery retailer in town, but she also likes the owners.

$20,000 Winners

There were eight $20,000 winners from last night who purchased tickets in Oklahoma.  These tickets were purchased at convenience stores in Ardmore, Drumright, Mansville, Newalla and Oklahoma City (4).

$10,000 Winners

Seven Oklahomans won $10,000 in last night’s Powerball drawing.  Winning tickets were purchased in Crescent, Enid, Locust Grove, Moore, Tulsa and Oklahoma City (2).

“There is no doubt that Oklahoma is in the midst of a Powerball winning streak,” said Oklahoma Lottery Executive Director Jim Scroggins.  “Lottery Headquarters has been buzzing with excitement for the past several weeks with all of the big winners.”

The winners have 180 days from the day of the Sept. 26 drawing to claim their prize at Oklahoma Lottery Headquarters, 3817 N. Santa Fe in Oklahoma City.

Scroggins reminded players to carefully check their tickets after every draw and be sure to sign the back of their ticket to prove ownership.  Players can obtain winning numbers on the Oklahoma Lottery website, www.lottery.ok.gov, or by visiting their closest Lottery retailer.

Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education.  More than $144 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
