OKLAHOMA CITY RESIDENTS WIN ON LOTTERY GAME SHOW
OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 8, 2008) – Jeff Bayne, Steve Haynes and Dennis Winkler of Oklahoma City recently won cash as contestants on The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show, which aired on September 6.
Bayne and Haynes both won $700. Bayne purchased his winning entry ticket at Circle K at 1000 NW 23rd in Oklahoma City while Haynes bought his winning entry ticket at the E-Z Mart at 10912 N. Rockwell in Oklahoma City.
Winkler walked away with $4,524 and purchased his winning entry ticket at the Circle K at 7104 NW 23rd Street in Bethany.
Each 30-minute episode of The Oklahoma Lottery Game Show features seven contestants (six new contestants and one returning champion) in a series of number-themed games. All players are guaranteed $500, and may have a chance to win more than $50,000 in cash and prizes in each show.
All contestants receive “star” treatment, including accommodations at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, dinner for the contestant and a guest, and breakfast in the Aria Grill at the hotel.
The Game Show airs Saturdays at 6 p.m. on KOCB Channel 34 in Oklahoma City. The show is rebroadcast in Tulsa on Cox Channel 3 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. In Oklahoma City, the show re-airs on Cox Channel 7 Mondays at 2 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Net proceeds of all Lottery games are used to support improvements and enhancements for Oklahoma education. More than $215 million has been contributed to education since November 2005.
Proceeds are used statewide to supplement existing funds for a variety of important purposes, including: teacher compensation and benefits, early childhood development programs, college scholarships, classroom technology and construction of educational facilities.
