Player's Club Troubleshooting

Our website utilizes some of the latest programming technology that some browsers may have difficulty displaying. Our website is best viewed using Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher with a screen resolution of 800x600 or higher. Optimized viewing is in Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher with a screen resolution of 1024x768.

If you are receiving a session timed out error or a cookies error when trying to log in to the Player's Club or when trying to submit a photo for a contest, please adjust your browser privacy settings (see below). You will not be allowed to upload photo's larger than 200K, if you are having problems uploading a photo then you will need to check the size of the image.


What type of browser are you using?


Internet Explorer    Netscape    AOL    Opera    Mozilla    Firefox    Safari

Internet Explorer
Step 1
Close all open internet browsers.
Open Internet Explorer (even if you are using AOL).
On the menu bar at the top, click on Tools, then select Internet Options.
This will open your Internet Options window as displayed below.
Step 2
Click on the Privacy Tab at the top.
Then click on the Sites button.
 
Step 3
In the Address of Web site text box, type in lottery.ok.gov
Click the Allow button.
Step 4
You should now see ok.gov listed in the Managed Web sites section.
This will allow your browser to receive cookies from the Lottery's website.
Click the OK button to close the privacy window.
Click the OK button to close the Internet Options window.
 

Netscape

Netscape Navigator 7.x
  1. Click Edit on the Toolbar.
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Click the Privacy and Security category; expand the list to show the subcategories.
  4. Click Cookies
  5. Three options are displayed. Do the following:
    • Check "Enable all cookies"
  6. If you want to be notified when a web site tries to set a cookie, select "Warn me before accepting a cookie."
Netscape Navigator 6.x
  1. Click Edit on the Toolbar.
  2. Click Preferences
  3. Click the Privacy and Security category; expand the list to show the subcategories.
  4. Click Cookies
  5. Three options are displayed. Click the appropriate choice: Do the following:
    • Check "Enable all cookies"
  6. If you want to be notified when a web site tries to set a cookie, select "Warn me before accepting a cookie."
Netscape Navigator 4.x
  1. Click on Edit, and then click Preferences
  2. Click on the Advanced
  3. In the Cookies section, select Accept all cookies
  4. Click OK
Netscape Navigator 3.x
  1. Go to Options on the menu bar
  2. Pick Network Preferences
  3. Click the Languages tab
  4. Click the checkbox next to "Enable Java"
  5. Click OK

AOL

NOTE: If the changes below do not work for you, please minimize the AOL Browser and open and use a SEPARATE browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape.

Properly Enabling Cookies on AOL 9.0:
  1. Click on the AOL "Settings" icon near the top of your AOL window.
  2. In the "Essentials" section, click on "Internet [Web] Options"
  3. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  4. Click on the "Advanced" button
  5. Ensure that "Override automatic cookie handling" is checked.
  6. First and Third party cookies should be set to "Accept"
  7. Check "Always allow session cookies"
  8. Click on "OK"
  9. Click "Apply" and then "OK"
  10. Exit AOL and restart your computer (This step is important. Do not skip.)
Properly Enabling Cookies on AOL 8.0:
  1. Click on the AOL "Settings" icon near the top of your AOL window.
  2. In the dropdown that appears, select "Preferences".
  3. Click the "By Category" tab
  4. Find "Internet" in the listings.
  5. Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  6. Click on the "Advanced" button.
  7. Ensure that "Override automatic cookie handling" is checked.
  8. First and Third party cookies should be set to "Accept"
  9. Check "Always allow session cookies"
  10. Click on "OK"
  11. Click "Apply" and then "OK"
  12. Exit AOL and restart your computer (This step is important. Do not skip.)
Enable Cookies on AOL (v6.0) for WINDOWS:
  1. Click on MY AOL.
  2. Click SETTINGS on the main toolbar.
  3. Click PREFERENCES.
  4. Click on Internet Properties (WWW).
  5. Click on the SECURITY tab.
  6. Click on the INTERNET ZONE, then click on the Custom button on the bottom of the window. The Security Settings window will appear.
  7. Scroll down until you see Cookies.
  8. Click Enable for the Allow per-session cookies option.
  9. Click OK to exit.
Enable Cookies on AOL (v5.0) for WINDOWS:
  1. Click on MY AOL on the main toolbar.
  2. Click PREFERENCES.
  3. Click on WWW.
  4. Click on the SECURITY tab.
  5. Click on the INTERNET ZONE, then click on the Custom button on the bottom of the window. The Security Settings window will appear.
  6. Scroll down until you see Cookies.
  7. Click Enable for the Allow per-session cookies option.
  8. Click OK to exit.
Enable Cookies on AOL (v4.0) for WINDOWS:
  1. Click on START MENU from desktop
  2. Click on SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL
  3. Click on the INTERNET icon.
  4. Click the ADVANCED tab and scroll down until you see the word COOKIES.
  5. Click on ALWAYS ACCEPT COOKIES.
  6. Click on APPLY and then OK to exit.
Enable Cookies on AOL (v3.x) for WINDOWS or (v4.x) for MACINTOSH:
  1. Click on MEMBERS or MY AOL.
  2. Click PREFERENCES.
  3. Click on WWW or WEB.
  4. Click on ADVANCED TAB and scroll down until you see the word COOKIES.
  5. ENABLED should be selected.
  6. Click OK to exit.
Enable Cookies on AOL (v3.x) for MACINTOSH:
  1. Cookies are NOT available through v3.x for Mac. AOL recommends upgrading to AOL 5.0.
  2. This is available to download at http://free.aol.com.

To determine the version of Internet Explorer on your computer:
  1. Click Help from the menu at the top of the screen
  2. Click About (a screen should display giving you the version)
To determine the version of Netscape on your computer:
  1. Click Help from the menu at the top of the screen
  2. Click About Communicator (a screen should display giving you the version)
To determine the version of AOL on your computer:
  1. Click Help from the menu at the top of the screen
  2. Click About America Online

Opera

Opera 7.11
  1. From the File menu, choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Privacy category.
  3. Check Enable Cookies.
  4. From the Normal Cookies drop-down menu, select Automatically accept all cookies.
  5. From the Third Part drop-down menu, select Automatically accept all cookies.
  6. Click OK.

Mozilla

Mozilla
  1. Go to Edit on top of browser
  2. Choose Preferences on bottom of list
  3. Open the Privacy & Security menu on left hand side of box.
  4. On right hand side of box choose "Enable all cookies"
  5. Press OK
Firefox

Mozilla Firefox
  1. Select Tools | Options... from the main menu.
  2. Select Privacy from the left panel of options.
  3. Expand the Cookies options on the right.
  4. Select "Enable Cookies."
  5. Select "for the originating website only."

Safari

Safari 1.0
  1. From the Safari Menu, choose Preferences.
  2. Click the Security icon.
  3. In the Accept Cookies: selection box, chose Always or Only from sites you navigate to.

Try a different browser/Update your current browser
AOL users in particular may want to try using a different browser other than the default AOL Browser:
  1. Connect to AOL as you normally do
  2. Start a separate web browser program (other than the AOL browser) such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
