OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept 2, 2016) - The $1.2 million winning Hot Lotto ticket from the August 27th drawing was claimed at Lottery headquarters by college student Vinh D., of Midwest City.
Vinh was driving home from work when he decided to stop at Classen Foods, located at 3121 N Classen Blvd in Oklahoma City, so he would not miss Saturday night’s Hot Lotto Drawing. This impulsive stop to get a Hot Lotto easy pick proved to be lucky for Vinh. With his winnings, Vinh plans to buy a new car and house putting the rest in savings. He does not plan on quitting his job any time soon.
Vihn successfully matched five of five white balls and the hot ball to win the $1.2 million dollar jackpot. Vinh walks away with a check for $1.2 million, since Hot Lotto is a taxes paid game.
Including Vinh, the Oklahoma Lottery has had 56 winners of $1 million or more including four Powerball jackpot winners and now six Hot Lotto jackpot winners.
