Broken Arrow Man Claims $1,000,000 Mega Millions Prize

OKLAHOMA CITY (January 10, 2018) - The $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket from the January 5th drawing was claimed at Lottery headquarters by Billy Thacker of Broken Arrow.

Thacker, who plans to use his money to set-up trust funds for his children, purchased his winning ticket at Perfect Food & Gas located at 2201 W. Albany Street in Broken Arrow. After the drawing, Mr. Thacker was calling out the numbers on his ticket to his girlfriend who was checking the website on her phone. She alerted him that he had matched five of five white ball numbers and he exclaimed “quit playing, that’s a million dollars”! The two were so shocked and excited that even their seven-year old started crying tears of joy.

Including Thacker, the Oklahoma Lottery has had 58 winners of $1 million or more including four Powerball jackpot winners and six Hot Lotto jackpot winners.
